Oh No It Isn't … The News Quiz

First broadcast on Friday the 30th of December 2011.

This begins as a seemingly regular edition of The News Quiz with what is supposed to be a cutting read by Corrie Corfield but is in fact Sandi Toksvigs diary. It then becomes a panto in which she and Andy Hamilton embark on a quest to recover the Greenwich Pips, stolen by a masked stranger and scattered around Radio 4 Island. Will they recover them in time for the Seven O’Clock News?

It features News Quiz regulars Jeremy Hardy Fred MacAulay and Susan Calman with cameos by a host of well-known Radio 4 names: Nicholas Parsons, Kirsty Young, Michael Buerk, Libby Purves, Peter White, Eric Robson, Peter Gibbs, Tom Sutcliffe, Graham Seed, Roger Bolton, Matthew Wilson and Barry Cryer as the Pip Keeper. Various other roles are played by John Finnemore, Gerard McDermott and Adjoa Andoh.

Behind the scenes, the show was written by John Finnemore and Kevin Baker and produced by Victoria Lloyd and Lyndsay Fenner
